Giving

Belonging to a local church gives us an avenue to honour God through our giving and tithing.

A tithe (which just means “tenth”) is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to the local church. Tithing is a principle that is taught throughout the entire Bible. When we tithe, we are expressing worship in a tangible way by putting God first in our lives. Bringing our tithes is an opportunity for us to give God our thanks, show God we trust Him, and fight against greed in our hearts, all while allowing us to be a part of the most important work in life; that of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

At Connect Church we believe that we can’t out-give God and we are called to live generous lives, because God has first been so generous to us by giving His one and only Son. We exist to serve Him and serve others with that same generosity of spirit. Our church is full of giving people who are building God’s kingdom and are excited to see the impact the local church is having on the community.

Connect Care

Sometimes in life we can find ourselves in circumstances that are more than we can manage on our own. That’s when we most need our church community to gather around us. If you or your family is experiencing a crisis, reach out to our Connect Care team. We can offer pastoral care and some practical support, as well as helping you find further resources and referrals. We’re here to walk the difficult roads with you, because in Christ you are never alone.

Prayer Request

The Connect Church prayer team meets regularly to pray for every request that comes to us, both on Sundays and through the online contact form. Your prayers are kept confidential and you can send them in anonymously if you prefer. Let us partner with you in faith as we lift your needs to God and believe for a miracle.
